Synopsis
Such was Karna, he wouldn't set foot on the battlefield until Bhishma's fall! Indra had already taken his armor and earrings from him as a donation, intending them for his son Arjuna. Parashurama had given him a curse, saying, "The Brahmastra will not be invoked for you in the midst of war." The words of the Brahmin from Mahendra Mountain, "Your chariot wheel will be stuck in the ground during the war," were unforgettable. Many may have donated in the world, but only the first Pandava, the eldest Kunti, the incomparable donor, the son of the Sun, knew how to make such a thrilling, lofty, and unparalleled donation at the door of death.
